Dopo i Golden Globes, ed aspettando gli Oscar, è toccato ai Bafta, ovvero gli Orange British Academy Film Awards, annunciare le candidature per l’edizione del 2010. A guardare tutti dall’alto, anche in questo caso, James Cameron con il suo Avatar, candidato a 8 Bafta, insieme a The Hurt Locker e An Education. A seguire l’ottimo District 9, con ben 7 nomination, davanti a Bastardi Senza Gloria e Tra le Nuvole, appagliati a quota 6.
Sorprendente la candidatura di Neill Blomkamp come Miglior Regista, insieme a Lone Scherfig, James Cameron, Kathryn Bigelow e Quentin Tarantino, con Andy Serkis pronto a contendere il Bafta di Migliore Attore, grazie a Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll, a George Clooney, Colin Firth e Jeff Bidges. Esclusa, a sorpresa, Sandra Bullock, mentre risulta incredibile il risalto dato al mediocre Coco Before Chanel, che si porta a casa ben 4 nomination. Up vola sempre più in alto, Bastardi Senza Gloria colpisce ancora (però non nella categoria miglior film), Una notte da leoni continua la sua sorprendente marcia trionfale, mentre Baarìa sembra ormai definitivamente cestinato dagli americani (peccato).

21 gen 2010 - 18:03 - #21Visto ieri Avatar, merita un sacco di nomination tecniche, ma nient’altro…un film fatto per fare soldi, sceneggiatura assolutamente banale, finale scontato…un sacco di azione, mi sembra una commercialata bella e buona, miglior film è eccessivo davvero…che vinca negli effetti speciali, nella fotografia, nella scenografia…ma dare la vittoria nella categoria principale, come è successo ai Golden, è uno scandalo.
Cameron si conferma regista di blockbuster.
