Toronto 2015, il programma: The Martian, Stonewall e Demolition in anteprima mondiale

A 12 ore dalla conferenza stampa di presentazione di Venezia 72, la 40esima edizione del Toronto International Film Festival ha ufficializzato il proprio programma, o almeno parte di esso visto e considerato che stiamo parlando di una manifestazione da 300 film a stagione. Demolition di Jean-Marc Vallée con protagonisti Jake Gyllenhaal e Naomi Watts aprirà il Festival, in cui non si vedranno titoli del peso di Bridge of Spies, By the Sea, The Revenant, Crimson Peak, Our Brand is Crisis, Truth, I Saw the Light, Steve Jobs e Suffragette. Film che neanche a dirlo potrebbero farsi strada al Lido, ma questo lo scopriremo solo e soltanto domani mattina.

Certo è che al 40esimo Toronto Film Festival ci sarà comunque da divertirsi, visto e considetato il ‘peso’ di alcune pellicole presenti nelle sezioni ‘Galas’ e ‘Special Presentation’. Tra le tante anteprime mondiali spazio per The Dressmaker, film con Kate Winslet, Chris Hemsworth e Judy Davis; Eye in the Sky di Gavin Hood, con Helen Mirren, Aaron Paul ed Alan Rickman mattatori; Freeheld, con Julianne Moore, Ellen Page e Steve Carell; Legend con Tom Hardy; The Martian di Ridley Scott; The Program di Stephen Frears; Stonewall di Ronald Emmerich e Where to Invade Next di Michael Moore.

Tra i film presenti in anteprima ‘nord-americana’ spiccano The Danish Girl con Eddie Redmayne negli abiti della prima transessuale della storia, Anomalisa di Charlie Kaufman e Youth del nostro Paolo Sorrentino. La curiosità nei confronti di Venezia 2015, viste le tante e inattese assenze di questo Toronto, si fa quindi sempre più ricca. Domani mattina, come detto più e più volte, verrà finalmente messa a tacere. Non perdeteci di vista.
