National Board of Review Awards 2015, i vincitori: trionfano Mad Max e The Martian

Organizzazione no profit newyorkese dedicata al cinema inteso sia come arte che come intrattenimento, alla celebrazione dell’eccellenza artistica e al sostegno della libertà d’espressione nei film, i National Board of Review Awards non hanno alcun legame commerciale con l’industria cinematografica. E non è un caso se l’ultimo titolo da loro eletto ‘best movie of the year’ a vincere anche l’Oscar sia stato The Millionaire. Sette anni fa. Ebbene a trionfare in questo 2015 è stato Mad Max: Fury Road di George Miller, autentico capolavoro action che è incredibilmente riuscito a sbaragliare un’agguerrita concorrenza.

Ma non sono finite qui le coraggiose ed interessanti scelte portate avanti dai National Board of Review Awards, visti i 3 premi assegnati a The Martian – Sopravvissuto di Ridley Scott (Regia, Attore protagonista e Sceneggiatura non originale), per non parlare del trionfo di Sylvester Stallone come Miglior Attore non Protagonista con Creed e di The Hateful Eight di Quentin Tarantino, vincitore per la miglior sceneggiatura e con Jennifer Jason Leigh, eletta miglior attrice non protagonista. Miglior attrice la sorprendente Brie Larson di Room, a sua volta premiato per il giovane protagonista Jacob Tremblay (ex-aequo con l’incredibile Abraham Attah di Beasts of No Nation). Son of Saul è stato eletto miglior film straniero dell’anno, con Amy miglior documentario e The Big Short miglior cast. Sconfitto a sorpresa Spotlight.

Nella TopFilm stilata spazio a Straight Outta Compton, Sicario, Creed e ad Inside Out. A vincere lo scorso anno, come dimenticarlo, A Most Violent Year di J.C. Chandor, poi di fatto snobbato agli Oscar. Negli anni precedenti, invece, trionfi per The Social Network, Hugo Cabret, Zero Dark Thirty e Lei.
