Art Directors Guild Awards 2014, vincitori: premiati Il grande Gatsby, Lei – Her e Gravity
Annunciati i vincitori degli Art Directors Guild Awards 2014 (ADG), prestigioso riconoscimento che premia l’eccellenza nella scenografia cinematografica e televisiva.
Lei – Her, Gravity e Il grande Gatsby hanno dominato la cerimonia di premiazione degli Art Directors Guild Awards 2014 tenutasi a Los Angeles presso il Beverly Hilton.
I tre vincitori sono tutti nella cinquina che il prossimo 2 marzo si contenderà un Premio Oscar per la miglior scenografia (gli altri due contendenti sono American Hustle e 12 anni schiavo).
“Non sapevo se stavamo facendo una fantasy o un film d’epoca ambientato nel futuro” ha detto lo scenografo K.K. Barrett premiato per Lei – Her che ha aggiunto “Spike Jonze mi ha detto ‘Chi siamo noi per mettere in discussione ciò che chiunque altro percepisce come reale“. Guardando la stanza Barrett ha concluso: “credo in tutte le vostre realtà“.
Andy Nicholson premiato per Gravity dal palco: “Gravity è stato un viaggio incredibilmente lungo e duro per la mia troupe. Niente di tutto questo sarebbe stato possibile senza la visione artistica di Alfonso Cuaron“.
Martin Scorsese ha invece accettato il prestigioso Cinematic Imagery Award alla carriera cosegntogli dalla star del suo The Wolf of Wall Street, gli attori Leonardo DiCaprio e Jonah Hill. Il regista durante il suo discorso ha lodato l’apporto dei team di scenografi: “Come si fa a fare cinema senza scenografie? Non è possibile. Abbiamo le immagini nella nostra mente, i film nella nostra testa, ma è il vostro lavoro che ci permette di portare quelle immagini sullo schermo…Questo [premio] è per voi“.
