E’ scomparsa all’età di 88 anni Betsy Palmer, l’attrice che ha interpretato Pamela, la madre di Jason Voorhees, nell’originale Venerdì 13.

Il primo ruolo cinemtografico di rilievo di Patricia Betsy Hrunek arriva nel 1955, l’attrice interpreta Kitty Carter in La lunga linea grigia, film interpretato da Tyrone Power e Maureen O’Hara.  Altri ruoli la vedono infermiera nel cast stellare nel film La nave matta di Mister Roberts (Mister Roberts) un classico del 1955 interpretato da Henry Fonda, Jack Lemmon, James Cagney e William Powell. La Palmer ha recitato anche con Joan Crawford nel dramma Ape regina (1956) e al fianco di Henry Fonda e Anthony Perkins nel western Il segno della legge (1957).
