Toronto 2013: tutti i film in programma

Toronto International Film Festival 2013: circa 300 titoli in programma, che riconfermano la rassegna come lo showcase mondiale del cinema contemporaneo. C’è tutto il meglio che abbiamo già visto, i film che vedremo e titoli che si sfideranno probabilmente agli Oscar 2014. Apre The Fifth Estate, il controverso biopic su Julian Assange.

Il Toronto International Film Festival completa il suo programma con tutte le sue nuove sezioni e gli ultimi titoli. Come abbiamo avuto già modo di dire nel momento della prima conferenza stampa a fine luglio, Toronto si riconferma lo showcase mondiale a livello cinematografico per eccellenza. Qui passa tutto ciò che di meglio si è visto in altri festival (Sundance, Berlino, Cannes), e ciò che si vede in contemporanea (Venezia, Telluride). Oltre ovviamente ad un sacco di anteprime internazionali, canadesi, e soprattutto mondiali.

I primi film del TIFF 2013

23 luglio 2013 – Una settantina di titoli, giusto per iniziare. Il Toronto International Film Festival (5 – 15 settembre) si conferma lo showcase mondiale del cinema di ogni anno: non solo prime mondiali, ma anche i film che sono passati al Sundance, a Berlino e a Cannes, che passeranno a Venezia, Telluride, Deauville… Beato chi è a Toronto ed ha il dono dell’ubiquità: perché seguire 70 film forse non è impossibile (sì, lo è), ma mica è finita qui…

Il TIFF 2013 annuncerà infatti nelle settimane a seguire altri titoli: manca ad esempio tutta la sezione Midnight Madness, una delle sezioni più attese dai cinefili visto il concentrato action e horror. Ma mancano titoli in tutte le sezioni della rassegna, e al solito si arriverà a circa 300 titoli.

Aprirà la rassegna in prima mondiale The Fifth Estate, di cui abbiamo visto il trailer giusto pochi giorni fa. Si tratta del discusso biopic su Julian Assange, con Benedict Cumberbatch nei panni del fondatore di WikiLeaks. L’altr’anno ad aprire il TIFF fu Looper, quindi ci aspettiamo un’altra apertura coi fiocchi.

Per il resto Toronto è un termometro per ricordare il miglior cinema che abbiamo “già visto” (Kechiche, Kore-eda, Gloria, Don Jon, Kill Your Darlings, anche alle Giornate degli Autori di Venezia), che vedremo (David Gordon Green, Jason Reitman, Kelly Reichardt, Jonathan Glazer, Peter Landesman…) e che sarà forse protagonista agli Oscar (Steve McQueen, John Wells, Ron Howard).

Da segnalare la presenza de La Grande Bellezza di Paolo Sorrentino, di Gianni Amelio e la prima mondiale di Anni Felici di Daniele Luchetti.
