Biografia

John Christopher “Johnny” Depp II (Owensboro, 9 giugno 1963) è un attore, regista, musicista e produttore cinematografico statunitense.

Nel corso della sua carriera ha ricevuto tre nomination al Premio Oscar come miglior attore protagonista per i film La maledizione della prima luna, Neverland – Un sogno per la vita e Sweeney Todd – Il diabolico barbiere di Fleet Street, due candidature al premio BAFTA, quattro candidature e una vittoria allo Screen Actors Guild Awards come miglior attore cinematografico per il film La maledizione della prima luna. Ha vinto un Golden Globe come miglior attore in un film commedia o musicale per Sweeney Todd, dopo essere stato candidato più volte al premio (10 nomination).

Nel 2010, secondo la rivista Forbes, è stato l’attore più pagato del mondo assieme a Sandra Bullock, guadagnando 80 milioni di dollari da giugno 2009 a giugno 2010. Interprete versatile, famoso per l’eccentrico carattere che dona ai suoi personaggi, figura come uno degli attori più validi e carismatici della sua generazione.
